Carnoustie
The Championship Course in the town of Carnoustie on the east coast of Scotland is one of the venues on the Open Championship rota. Golf has been played on the Carnoiustie Links since the early 16th century. The original course was of ten holes, but this was extended in 1867 by Old Tom Morris to the eighteen holes which had since become standard. Two additional courses have since been added — the Burnside Course and the shorter though equally testing Buddon Links.
